Battlefield 3 Tips to Rush Mode

If you like Battlefield 3 and are excited about the upcoming game, you will want to read these Battlefield tips for rush mode.

The first thing to know about rush mode in BF3 is the rules. Basically, the goal is for the offensive team to plant explosives on 2 “M-COMs” before dying 100 times. If you successfully destroy the two M-COMs, you go back to 100 lives and a new portion of the map is revealed. The offense has to do this several times in order to actually win the match, but if they fail once then the match is over and the defense wins. As you can imagine, the defense’s goal is to take out players on the offense side 100 times before they can destroy the two M-COMs.

Naturally, based on these rules, we are able to pull out a few Battlefield 3 tips that you can use to your advantage. As a player on offense, your first impression is to be careful with lives. However, you have to realize that 100 lives is a lot. For 16 players, that means each player can die just over 5 times on average. You have to really go out of your way to die this many times on one offensive run. Considering that many players sit back and do not do much, really each active assault player can give you about 8 deaths.

Now, on defense, you have to realize that your lives are worth nothing. You want to constantly throw yourself on the offense. You can win the match with a negative kill:death ratio so do not try to stay alive more than is necessary for your goals of stopping the offense.

The most important thing though that you will learn is just how crucial territory is. As a defender, you need to stop your enemies from advancing. This means if you lose an M-COM, you do not back up to the next one. You stay as far forward as possible. The more distance you put between you and the M-COM, the better. Every time you wipe the enemy team, you need to sprint forward.

On offense, you need to take the opposite approach. You need to stay alive to control territory. The respawn distance for defense to an M-COM is very short compared to how far it is to run back for offense if you do not have a close squad member. For this reason, squad members need to stay alive for a long time deep in enemy territory so you can respawn on them.

By following these Battlefield 3 tips for rush mode, you should have a lot more success in rush mode.
